Job Summary
Operate assigned stations for heel nailing, edge trimming, sealing, inking, or inspection and tacking to meet cosmetic standards. Match finishes to approved samples, verify color and sheen across pairs, and trim edges to profile without damaging the welt. Pull and flag any defects including proud nails, trim gouges, or color mismatches. Maintain finish materials by stirring, thinning, and storing to specification while logging lot numbers. Keep the booth, gun, and station clean to prevent color defects. Requires steady hand, color judgment, and willingness to work with solvents and chemicals while wearing protective equipment. Works full shifts standing on concrete with occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Performance measured by pairs per shift and cosmetic first-pass quality.
