Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of finishing crews to ensure timely completion of concrete placing, finishing, cutting, and curing tasks. Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide work accurately while monitoring progress and conducting inspections for compliance with safety regulations and project standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with superintendents and other trades to schedule work, resolve on-site challenges, and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage. Enforce safety protocols to ensure all personnel use appropriate personal protective equipment. This role supports Procon's turn-key construction services, utilizing advanced technology like BIM and robotic total stations to deliver high-quality concrete foundations, flooring, and paving projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete finishing trades within the construction industry
- Experience with all types of concrete screeds (laser screeds, vibratory screeds, hand screeds)
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role managing finishing crews
- Experience with all types of concrete flatwork and site work
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and safety standards
- Basic ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
- Ability to accurately track and submit time for crew members
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in construction safety or OSHA training
- Additional training or certification in specialized finishing techniques (ACI Flatwork Finisher etc)
- Prior experience working on commercial construction projects
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
