Job Summary
Operate a motor grader to spread, grade, and level materials according to project specifications, and adjust the blade to contour roads, embankments, and other surfaces. Maneuver the grader using hand and foot controls to maintain smooth, even grading, coordinate machine movements with other activities via hand or audio signals, and identify hazards while following strict safety procedures. Requires 5+ years of experience with motor graders and related heavy equipment, with a background in heavy civil construction and the ability to work independently in challenging conditions; must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse weather and adhere to safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience operating motor graders and other heavy construction equipment such as dozers, backhoes, and rough graders
- Background in heavy civil construction
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in challenging weather conditions
