Finish Grader Operator with GPS Experience - Fort McMurray

Job Summary
Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, performing daily maintenance and safety checks. Drive the grader in successive passes over the working area, observing reference stakes or hand signals to level the surface to the specified grade and finish base surface preparation within half an inch. Ensure a sound understanding of ground disturbance issues, interpret roadway plans and draws, and demonstrate knowledge of grades. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation, verifying the grader is in proper gear and moving at safe speeds for conditions. Requires 3 to 5 years of finish grader experience and CSA-approved steel-toed boots. Full-time seasonal role with 10+ hours daily, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week, including on-call rotation. Living accommodations and daily allowances provided.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6" ankle support
- Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a Finish Grader Operator
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Experience with finishing work required
- Must be able to work in physically demanding conditions
- Must be hard-working
- Must be reliable
- Must be flexible with schedule
- Must be available for 10+ hours per day
- Must be available for 6 & 1 schedule
- Must be available for OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
- Must be able to work in Fort McMurray and Surrounding Area's
- Must be able to work without direct access to public transportation
- Must pass Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
- Must successfully complete Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
