Finish Grade Track Hoe Operator

Job Summary
Operate a Track Hoe to complete all required operation tasks in challenging terrain environments. Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as directed by management. Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations. Maintain grade using GPS applications and read commercial grade plans. Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations with an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. This full-time day shift role in Huntsville, AL requires 3-5 years of track hoe experience and the ability to work independently in all weather conditions. Weekend work and overtime are available.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a track hoe as a finish grade operator
- Ability to read commercial grade
- Ability to utilize GPS for grading applications
- Previous experience operating other pieces of heavy construction equipment
- Ability to distinguish and understand signals
- Ability to read and understand grade and maintain grade
- Ability to use both hands and feet at the same time
- Ability to work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Must be able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment
- Ability to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment
- Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 70 pounds
- Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment
- Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work
- Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
