Job Summary
Conduct finish carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, and installing trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and custom millwork for residential projects. Assist with erecting scaffolding, installing staircases and railings, and performing shop work to fabricate projects. Learn carpentry skills under supervision while maintaining job site safety and cleaning equipment. Work on various construction and manufacturing projects requiring precision and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or vocational school
- Experience as a Apprentice carpenter or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in this work; or any equivalent combination of experience
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Keen attention to detail
- Blueprint reading familiarity
- Able to use common hand tools and power tools
- PPE and carpentry trade tools
- Troubleshooting and communication skills
- Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with guidance
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work direction or as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules

- Must have willingness to be trained in the processes of shop work to fabricate the projects for the Finish Carpentry Division

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in trim carpentry or finish carpentry
- Personal drills with drill bit set such as an assortment of countersink bits
