Job Summary
Install baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, window and door casing, stair railings, and prehung doors with precision measurement and cutting. Construct custom cabinetry, shelving, and other storage elements while reading blueprints and shop drawings to ensure proper alignment. Make on-site adjustments for fit, finish, and alignment, resolving layout or design issues as needed. Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and fellow trades to coordinate workflow and meet project goals. Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and adhere to jobsite safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation to travel to and between work sites as required by the position
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in commercial carpentry, including both rough and finish scopes
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
- Comfortable reading and applying construction documents, layouts, and shop drawings
- Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to safety standards
- Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly on job progress and needs
- Strong focus on delivering precise, code-compliant, and visually excellent results
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
- Experience in tenant improvements, institutional builds, or ground-up commercial construction
- Familiarity with layout tools and techniques (e.g., chalk lines, laser levels)
