Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a fine dining restaurant, ensuring prompt, professional guest service and adherence to fine dining standards. Lead and coach service staff (servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff), conduct pre-shift meetings, communicate daily specials and service expectations, and address guest concerns. Ensure compliance with health regulations, sanitation standards, and alcohol service laws; monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching; assist with scheduling, labor management, cash handling, POS transactions, and closing procedures. Support inventory controls, ordering, and cost management; collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely food service; contribute to private dining events and VIP experiences; maintain high standards of professionalism and hospitality and foster teamwork and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and fine dining service techniques
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and guest recovery skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant operations software
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
