Job Summary
Fine Arts/Band - Music Teacher for K-12 in Kinston, NC. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and presenting instruction to develop students’ cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth; differentiating instruction; using technology and classroom tools; managing time and behavior; motivating students; collaborating with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community; monitoring student performance; and coordinating with a Teacher Assistant if applicable. Requires ability to differentiate instruction, plan and improve instruction, and align with NC standards; strong leadership and communication skills; commitment to inclusive, diverse learning environments; and use of data to inform decisions. Licensure in Music Education (K-12) with a concentration in Band/Choral Music or eligibility to obtain it is required. Term of employment typically 10 months with salary considerations per NC Teacher Salary Scale plus a $2,000 supplement. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an approved education program in subject area
- NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC Teaching License

- Licensure: North Carolina Professional Educators license for Music Education (K-12) with concentration in Band/Choral Music
