Job Summary
Review and investigate potential matches generated by sanctions screening systems, conducting due diligence to determine if true matches exist. Analyze transaction data to identify unusual patterns indicating money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion, triaging actionable alerts that warrant further review. Stay up-to-date on changes to sanctions regulations and AML laws, assisting in implementing guidance updates and highlighting process inaccuracies. Maintain accurate records of alert reviews and decisions, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security protocols. Perform risk assessments related to sanctions and AML, escalating high-risk cases and material breaches to appropriate teams and leadership in a timely manner. Collaborate with KYC, Compliance, and Engineering teams to enhance controls, while communicating clearly with customers to obtain necessary details for reviews. Complete mandatory trainings and achieve individual and team targets regarding quality and speed. Work weekends as the primary shift in Kuala Lumpur.
Required Qualifications
- You're eligible to work in Kuala Lumpur
- You're flexible with working hours - it is a weekend shift (Saturday & Sunday) as working day
- Your verbal and written English skills are excellent
- You have business-level Japanese (written and spoken), ideally JLPT N2+ (or equivalent), and are comfortable handling customer communication and document review in Japanese
- You have an exceptionally inquisitive mind

- You have great communication skills, both written and verbal
