Financial Wellness Specialist

Job Summary
Serve as the initial point of contact for clients accessing financial coaching or group education services, conducting individual, family, or group interviews to assess situations and determine required support. Provide financial guidance through coaching, resource awareness, workshops, and presentations while developing and reviewing client action plans in consultation. Partner with the HUD Certified Housing Counselor to prepare client files per compliance guidelines, coach families on homeownership processes, and refer supportive housing residents toward financial stability. Record client progress and interactions in the CRM system and maintain professional relationships with vendors and community partners. Work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend availability on a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or relevant field
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the candidate must have at least four years of equivalent industry experience and possess a passion for social justice and equity
- Experience in financial education or financial literacy
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check

- Ability to operate Microsoft Office and other software programs
- Ability to use basic office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, etc.)

- Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to frequently, stand, bend, and twist
- May require weekend availability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with vulnerable populations and/or individuals with lower incomes
- Conceptual comprehension of basic to moderate finance
- Project management experience
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity and experience with teaching adult learners
