Job Summary
Support the firm's Finance Department as the primary engineer for the Aderant financial system, providing expert-level troubleshooting for billing, general ledger, AP, rates, image, and import modules. Debug production issues using SQL and database structures, create and maintain complex DocuDraft templates, Generic Importer files, and electronic check load files. Customize forms in Design Studio, manage stored procedures, and collaborate with IT teams to resolve system problems. Provide regular status reports to stakeholders and create internal documentation. Available for weekend and after-hours support.

- Expert-level understanding of Aux server
- Expert-level understanding of Admin server
- Expert-level understanding of SQL
- Expert-level understanding of Aderant database structure
- Expert-level support across Aderant modules
- Ability to provide expert-level support across Aderant modules
- Ability to proactively take ownership over vaguely defined issues and drive them to resolution
- Ability to identify subject matter experts in key areas
- Highly proficient in DocuDraft
- Ability to work with Stored Procedures used to feed data to/from Aderant
- Creation and maintenance of Generic Importer files
- Creation and maintenance of electronic check load files (ACH, BACS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Design Studio
- Ability to customize forms in Expert and Classic
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Aderant Expert
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting a complex ecosystem of systems
- Proficiency with T-SQL
- Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly troubleshoot production issues
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Server operating systems, Group Policy, file and network security, etc.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security
- Strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail
- Must be available to provide weekend and after-hours support
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Aderant APIs
- Experience support iTimekeep
- Experience with transition to Sierra
- Familiarity with multi-payor setups
- Basic scripting in PowerShell or another language
- Basic knowledge of IIS or another web server technology
- Basic knowledge of proxy servers, firewalls, and TCP/IP stack
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology field
- 2+ years of experience working in a law firm environment
- Experience working and delivering under Agile or SCRUM methodologies
