Financial Specialist - Continuing Education - Camps and Conferences

Job Summary

Process and maintain accurate billing and invoicing for camps, conferences, and events while creating general reporting for transactions. Audit or reconcile original purchase documents, reallocate expenses to appropriate funding strings, and oversee accounts payable by reviewing and paying vendor invoices. Reconcile financial transactions, manage employee hire and payroll, and produce final accountings for each unique event. Resolve billing inquiries with program staff and vendors to ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures. This full-time, 12-month position supports the Camps and Conferences team in hosting over 10,000+ youth and adults annually at UW-Whitewater.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma at time of application
  • 2 years of professional experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business or a related field
  • Experience using WorkDay software for human resources and/or finance
  • Experience in a higher education environment
