Job Summary
Provide in-branch and phone-based client support to deliver a WOW customer experience, guiding clients to the appropriate personnel or departments, and maintaining client confidentiality. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of SmartBank products/services and assists with opening/closing procedures, deposits/withdrawals, cashier’s checks, loan payments, and other transactions following bank policies. Handles account maintenance requests (e.g., address changes, stop payments), assists with ATM balancing, and protects the bank’s cash drawer and negotiable items. Adheres to policies on compliance and risk management (BSA/AML, security), completes required paperwork for discrepancies or suspicious activity, and supports a high-performing team in a dynamic branch environment. Requires high school diploma (associates preferred), banking experience preferred, and strong customer service, math, and communication skills; weekend availability and ability to travel to various branch locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associates degree preferred
- Minimum one year of banking experience preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Cash handling experience
- Thorough knowledge of Teller Drawer equipment (PODs, Recyclers, traditional cash drawer) preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook), typing and 10-key proficient preferred
- Strong math skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented and able to function in a team environment
- Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Willing to accept new ideas and methods and be agreeable to change
