Job Summary
Advises and counsels admitted patients of financial responsibility and self-payments. Processes payments, issues patient receipts, and maintains collection log. Interviews patients to obtain necessary financial and insurance information; verifies insurance and collects No Fault and Workers' Compensation; performs financial assessment and refers Medicaid cases; assists in FAU application; helps resolve hospital bills and sets up payment arrangements; follows up on scheduled payments; processes Section 1011 applications when applicable; maintains daily payments log. Essential functions per ADA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
