Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service by managing lobby traffic, reducing wait times, and serving as the primary contact for resolving routine and complex account problems. Accurately process banking transactions including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments while maintaining cash supplies. Actively promote and sell bank products using the customer conversation model to uncover needs, gather documents for loan applications, and close retail loans. Meet individual production levels for retail loans, checking accounts, and mortgage referrals while developing and maintaining customer relationships. Adhere to all regulatory, audit, and compliance policies. Work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays indoors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated sales and service skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize to ensure excellent customer service
- Displays professional dress and demeanor
- Personal computer proficiency
- Must be compliant with Loan Officer Requirements of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and Regulation Z
- Within 30 days of employment, employee must comply with NMLS registration and corresponding background check requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift 5–10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Cash handling experience preferred
- 1-2 years of retail banking experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Excellent oral communication and listening skills
- Knowledge of (or the ability to learn) the bank's operating systems, policies and procedures
