Financial Services Controller

Job Summary
Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal controls. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and lead budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning. Manage a team responsible for hiring and performance management, mentor accounting staff, and develop internal controls to safeguard assets. Collaborate with executive leadership, the association board of directors, and cross-functional teams to drive profitability and operational efficiency. This full-time, in-office role requires Monday through Friday hours and occasional travel for meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or other related field
- 8 or more years of related experience
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
- This is an in-office, full-time position
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Some travel will be required to attend company sponsored meetings and trainings
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial services o association management industry
