Job Summary

Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits for state entities by examining fiscal documents, testing internal controls, and evaluating process effectiveness. Assist in developing audit programs, preparing reports, and following up on corrective actions. Perform special investigations as requested, utilizing sampling techniques and data processing tools to identify risks of material misstatement or fraud. Obtain audit evidence, document inquiries with auditee personnel, and assess adherence to laws, regulations, and agency policies. Work with supervisors, auditees, and team members to ensure accountability and transparency within Louisiana's government.

Required Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (in any major), meeting the eligibility requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana
  • Possess certification as a Certified Public Accountant
