Job Summary
Responsible for back-end settlement transactions and the reporting associated with these tasks, including timely reconciliation of assigned accounts. Manage high-volume settlements, ensure data transfers between systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, external payment processors, settlement banks), reconcile fund movements with actual results, and prepare standard/ad hoc reports on clearing and settlement activity. Conduct complex data analysis to identify discrepancies, communicate findings to stakeholders, and enter/manage debit/credit transactions with precision. Investigate chargebacks and coordinate with merchant banks and credit card issuers. Analyze payment processing fees for cost-saving opportunities and support general ledger reconciliation and financial close activities. Strong accounting fundamentals, data-analytic mindset, and collaborative team orientation are key to success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with solid understanding of debits, credits, and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills and experience with large datasets
- Familiarity with Electronic Funds Movement and financial systems
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work independently under general supervision
