Job Summary
Open and process new consumer and business member accounts and cross-sell services. Explain products’ value, benefits, features, rates and fees. Conduct high-quality member interviews using the AIDINC® process and submit loan applications via Opening Act to Central Lending for decision; disburse loans when approved. Build and maintain member relationships, provide accurate account information, and protect confidentiality. Comply with BSA/OFAC/REG CC and other regulations. Participate in training for The Member Advantage (TMA) and related programs. Engage in outbound calls to promote Auto Loan Refinance and other campaigns, and utilize computer systems (Symitar, Opening Act, Synapsys CRM, Outlook, Office) to support deposits, loans, and services. Maintain proficiency in required software and adhere to policies and procedures; strive to exceed service and sales goals while delivering professional, courteous member service.
Required Qualifications
- A high school education or GED
- One year to three years of similar or related experience
- Completion of Lending Class, New Accounts training, and Teller training through the KFCU Training Department
- Must be able to operate computer terminals, printers, calculator, fax machine, copier, telephone, currency counter with accuracy and attention to detail
- Must possess outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills with ability to sell credit union products and services
- Strong basic math, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and implement changing policies and procedures
- Knowledge of teller transactions relevant to the position
- Maintain confidentiality and dependability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email
- Familiarity with home banking and bill paying services
- Must actively participate in The Member Advantage (TMA) training within 9 months of employment and TMA Annual Accelerator training
