Job Summary
Calculate employee benefit overpayments and obtain reimbursements from overpaid disability and worker's compensation cases. Ensure compliance with established recovery procedures while maintaining quality control through periodic file reviews. Provide payroll administration services for claimants receiving payments from outside company systems and coordinate recovery activity on assigned cases. Refer cases to collection agencies as applicable and notify employees verbally and in writing of claim overpayments. Perform manual calculations and support the organization's quality program. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of financial experience, and claims management background. Candidates must possess strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Sedgwick offers a hybrid work arrangement with centers of excellence in Southfield, Memphis, Dubuque, and Eden Prairie.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licenses as required
- Three (3) years of financial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Claims management experience
- Good knowledge of claims management
- Technical knowledge of recovery requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
