Job Summary
Manage a variety of projects including compilations, review engagements, and tax compliance engagements for entrepreneurial and private businesses. Prepare and review tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements while confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Extract insights from industry trends using a broad range of tools and techniques to address unstructured problems. Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities and coach them to deliver results. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and collaborate independently or within a team environment to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a mid-size accounting firm or public accounting
- Bachelors in accounting or in a similar firm
- Hands-on experience in accounting and tax software such as Taxprep or iFirm
- Drafting financial statements including note disclosures
- Experienced in review and compilation engagements
- Understanding of ASPE accounting standards
- Understanding of Canadian tax and ability to prepare tax returns for corporations, trusts and partnerships
- Excellent client relationship management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation is considered an asset and PwC will give the necessary support
