Job Summary
Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger accounting team and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner. Prepare daily, monthly, and annual financial reports while monitoring operating results against the budget. Lead, train, and supervise team members, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating performance. Ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, Nevada MICS, and federal regulations. Verify data accuracy for financial reporting systems and prepare schedules for tax returns. Provide support to management on accounting issues and demonstrate initiative to improve processes while maintaining compliance.
Required Qualifications
- State of Nevada Gaming Permit
- Valid Driver's License
- D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)
- Proof of Unexpired Personal Vehicle Insurance Coverage
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Strong background in automated accounting and control systems
- Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to use power query or willingness to learn
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks
- College degree with a major in Business, Finance or Accounting; or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with querying or financial software (Infinium, Coupa, Blackline, Showcase, GL Infor, SQL, etc) and preparing reports from queries
