Job Summary
Associate in Morgan Stanley's External Reporting team, Glasgow. Responsible for producing Regulatory Balance Sheet-based external reporting under IFRS, preparing disclosures and commentary, and supporting regulatory reporting to European Regulators. Key duties include production-process delivery, troubleshooting data issues, responding to reviews, presenting disclosures to Finance Senior Management, and developing understanding of disclosure requirements and internal policies. Works collaboratively with Global Product Controllers, Finance Technology, Legal Entity Control, and Accounting Policy to maintain controls and continually enhance production processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of financial/regulatory reporting
- Experience of working with large datasets
- Excellent communication skills including ability to escalate effectively and in a timely manner
- Appreciation of escalation and risk awareness
- Ability to challenge issues and processes
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving abilities
- Strong work ethic with an ability to take responsibility for completing tasks and working to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to balance and effectively prioritise multiple issues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- CA/ACA/ACCA qualification
- Right to Work in the UK
