Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee the preparation, review, and distribution of financial statements to senior management, investors, and lenders; manage consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements for real estate entities (multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and construction); support month-end and year-end closes; review loan agreements and ensure timely reporting to lenders per covenants; assist with real estate acquisition due diligence; manage mortgage payments and investor equity, distributions, and capital calls; liaise with lenders and external auditors; monitor compliance with evolving accounting guidance and prepare US GAAP memos; coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews; supervise one outsourced accounting staff; develop and maintain comprehensive accounting policy documents and reporting procedures for internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in finance, investment accounting, real estate accounting, or private equity
- Solid understanding of US GAAP financial reporting standard
- Proficient in accounting ERP software, preferably Yardi Voyage 7s, Investment Accounting or Sage 300
- Strong Excel skills, adept at generating insightful reports from a dataset using advanced formulas
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and team collaboration abilities
