Job Summary
Conduct regulatory counseling and enforcement matters for fintech companies and financial institutions regarding payment products, licensing, and money transmission obligations. Handle state and federal regulatory inquiries and investigations while supporting rulemaking analysis and strategy under consumer financial protection statutes. Advise clients on compliance exposure across domestic and international markets, focusing on the intersection of fintech innovation and financial regulation. Requires 3 to 5 years of experience with statutes including FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, and GLBA, plus active bar admission in the target state. Join a nationally recognized practice with cross-office collaboration in New York, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial regulatory, fintech, or consumer financial services work
- Familiarity with statutes such as FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, SCRA, MLA, TILA, EFTA, GLBA, and TCPA
- Experience advising financial services or fintech clients on compliance and regulatory exposure
- Strong academic credentials
- Active bar admission in the state of the office you are joining
