Job Summary
Financial Processing Specialist provides accounting, HR, procurement and administrative support for student financial support programs, with extensive Workday data entry (cash receipts, journal vouchers, travel claims, purchase orders), vendor management, award administration for Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, and reconciliation tasks. The role involves ensuring compliance with university policies and GAAP, processing payments and transfers, administering card programs, reviewing statements and backup documentation, liaising with housing, procurement and award-management teams, and back-ups for tuition and LFSM data entry. Requires high school graduation plus a Certificate in Accounting or Payroll CPA Level 1 and four years of related experience; strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; proficiency with Excel and integrated financial systems; ability to interpret complex guidelines and maintain accuracy. The position reports to the Student Financial Support Coordinator and is located at UBC Vancouver Campus, BC, Canada, with in-person work expected.
