Job Summary
Review clients' current portfolio design, enter client data, and conduct financial analysis to evaluate retirement needs and recommend planning alternatives. Research risk management concerns, including insurance, and design tailored financial plans that meet short and long-term goals. Prepare presentations communicating recommendations and alternatives, then respond to client questions via telephone, email, and occasional visits while educating them on securities markets. Monitor financial situations with detail and accuracy, assist with estate planning and education funding guidance, and conduct research on tax and legal issues. Open, transfer, and close customer accounts by obtaining purchase and sale instructions and following up on transaction completion. Ensure firm and regulatory policies are followed within compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Three years' experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis on financial, retirement and estate planning field or in marketing these services
- An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training as approved by Human Resources
- SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
- Series 7
- Series 63, 65 and/or 66 as required by state or ability to obtain within six months
