Job Summary
Provide expert financial planning counsel specializing in wealth management solutions for high net worth clients, including estate, business transition, tax, and protection planning. Analyze customer portfolios to prepare retirement and investment plans, interview clients to define needs, and recommend appropriate asset mixes. Educate clients on their investments and train branch advisors on the role of the Financial Planning Consultant. Coordinate product delivery with relationship managers, share customer discussion results, and conduct regular seminars to identify high-value customers. Operate on-site full-time within the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization framework.
Required Qualifications
- 7 - 10 years of financial advisory/sales experience with High Net Worth clients
- Extensive investment knowledge and expertise and strong understanding of markets sufficient to respond to detailed and complex inquiries from a sophisticated, knowledgeable and high net-worth client group
- Very strong interactive/presentation skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information/ideas to clients and the CIBC sales force and to establish and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues
- You are a certified professional
- Completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Status of Registered Representative
- Designation of IPF
- Knowledge in Investment knowledge and expertise and strong understanding of markets sufficient to respond to detailed and complex inquiries from a sophisticated, knowledgeable and high net-worth client group
- Must be Certified with the Institut de planification financière (IPF)
- Must be on-site full-time
- You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above
- Must have a valid work or study permit
