Job Summary
As a Financial Planning Consultant, you provide expert wealth-management-focused financial planning counsel to high-net-worth clients, collaborating with banking-centre advisors to deliver holistic plans that encompass retirement, education, intergenerational estate considerations, and tax minimization. You’ll leverage industry knowledge to respond to complex inquiries, educate relationship managers on the value of financial planning, and coordinate referrals to other CIBC subsidiaries. You will work within a team to identify current and potential high-value clients and conduct information sessions for relationship managers, presenting sophisticated recommendations and solutions across investment portfolios and planning requirements. The role requires a postsecondary degree/diploma and relevant experience, along with professional licensing and designations listed above; CFP upon hire and CIRO/AMF licensing expertise are assets. The work arrangement (on-site vs remote mix) will be discussed during the interview, with a compensation package including incentive opportunities reflective of performance.
Required Qualifications

- Licensed/registered as per CIRO/AMF/CSC/CIFC requirements
- CFP designation or eligibility
- CIRO-ID registration
- CIRO-MFD licensing
- RRC accreditation (Quebec AMF licensing)
- CIFC/CSC coursework or equivalent
