Job Summary
Gather data from Financial Advisors and prospective clients to prepare simple to moderate financial plans using the MoneyGuide platform. Create various levels of plans ranging from basic analysis to comprehensive projects, then mail and email completed documents to branch offices. Provide detailed explanations of finished plans to advisors and assist with information gathering while ensuring adherence to department policies and industry regulations. Develop spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and other project items as necessary to meet plan preparation deadlines independently.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of the securities industry in general and various securities products
- General understanding of financial planning products and techniques
- Solid and reliable mathematical skills
- Developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact and function as a member of a team
- Ability to work independently on tasks or projects
- Ability to professionally converse with Financial Advisors and other personnel concerning financial planning subjects
- Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal form
- Ability to organize subject matter and data well
- Ability to present and explain complex issues clearly
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Analytical problem solving ability
- High level of integrity
- Courteous and efficient telephone skills
- Business Degree in a related field or equivalent work-related experience
- 0-2 years securities industry or related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with financial planning software
