Financial Planning Associate - East Midlands

Job Summary

Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring all requests are handled promptly and proactively. Prepare for, attend, and follow up on client meetings, ensuring all post-meeting actions are completed. Review existing financial plans to ensure they continue to meet client needs and write financial planning reports as part of the onboarding process. Review suitability reports and provide technical input for client meetings, while also preparing detailed cashflow reports. Liaise with the admin and paraplanning teams to ensure work progresses smoothly and support occasional suitability report writing during peak periods. Use AI-driven systems, including Saturn, to support analysis, modelling, and workflow efficiency. Over an expected 2+ years' development period, you will be mentored and coached directly by the Head of Office and Financial Planners, building practical skills to transition into an adviser role.

Required Qualifications

  • Level 4 qualified (through CII) in Financial Planning
  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes and client service
  • Technical capability across pensions, tax, cashflow modelling, and financial planning research
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with CRM systems (we use Xplan)
  • strong Excel skills
