Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive financial plans and guidance to participants, lead needs-based conversations to uncover goals, position Empower products and services, and provide education on topics including managed accounts, rollovers, investments, savings strategies, HSAs, and retirement income planning. Act as an Investment Adviser Representative for Empower Advisory Group, use CONSULT model to build trust, conduct outreach for client-directed transactions, document interactions in Salesforce, and deliver a high-touch service before and after retirement. Requires CFP designation, FINRA licenses, and 3+ years in financial services or 401(k) industry; remote/hybrid role in NYC area with travel to client sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience (MBA preferred)
- Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation required
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
- FINRA fingerprinting required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or the 401(k) industry
- At least 2 years of direct financial planning experience
- Proven ability to analyze and communicate a client’s complete financial picture
