Job Summary
Financial Planner role at BMO involves providing financial and investment planning and advice to clients, identifying client needs through needs-based assessments, and delivering solutions through managed products and services (e.g., mutual funds, retirement savings plans). You will proactively engage with customers, generate appointments, build lasting relationships, and contribute to branch growth through outbound calling and referrals. The position includes introducing clients to investment strategies, staying current on personal investment products, and collaborating with partners to meet regulatory and risk requirements while delivering exceptional customer service. Mandarin language ability is required for this role, and the incumbent may work across multiple branches to deliver the desired customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Must meet regulatory/licensing requirements for Financial Planner in province/territory of employment
- Mandarin speaking required for this position
- Advanced working knowledge of financial industry
- Strong verbal & written communication skills

- Ability to work mostly independently
