Job Summary
FinOps Lead partnering with Engineering, Finance, and Procurement to drive cloud cost optimization, governance, and actionable spend insights. Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, cost reporting, analyzing cloud usage, managing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, establishing cost allocation and tagging frameworks, building executive dashboards, supporting vendor evaluations, and driving automation for visibility and efficiency. Strong experience across AWS/Azure pricing and cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of scalable governance and cost-optimization programs.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of FinOps, cloud financial management, financial analysis, FP&A, infrastructure cost management, or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience implementing or maturing FinOps practices, governance frameworks, cost allocation models, and optimization programs
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure pricing, billing, and consumption models
- Experience managing cloud commitment programs such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, or similar purchasing strategies
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Product organizations
- Experience developing executive-level reporting, forecasting models, dashboards, and business insights
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
- Familiarity with cloud architecture concepts and how infrastructure decisions impact cost, performance, and scalability
- Experience working in SaaS, technology, or cloud-centric environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to influence decision-making across technical and business teams
- Demonstrated success building scalable processes, governance standards, and operational frameworks
