Financial Literacy & Wealth Building Instructor

Job Summary

Teach four middle school classes weekly to guide students through a year-long financial literacy curriculum covering budgeting, saving, banking, credit, investing, and entrepreneurship. Design project-based learning experiences with authentic student projects, simulations, and case studies, then assess growth via portfolios and presentations. Coordinate a culminating showcase where students present capstone projects and collaborate with leadership and partners like DPIMC and JPMorgan Chase to arrange guest speakers and mentorship. Lead this signature program for approximately 80 students in grades 6–8 at the Bronzeville Campus during the 2026–2027 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level
  • Demonstrated ability to design engaging, student-centered instruction
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for preparing students with practical life skills and expanding educational opportunity
