Job Summary
Underwrite new and renewal Financial Lines business by evaluating risks, reviewing applications and financial statements, and determining appropriate pricing and terms. Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers while providing timely service to inquiries. Document underwriting files accurately and collaborate with senior underwriters on complex risks and accounts. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and stay updated on industry trends. Bachelor's degree in business or finance required with ample prior insurance underwriting experience. Primarily in-office role at AIG Philippines Insurance Inc.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Prior ample experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in Financial Lines
- Basic knowledge of Financial Lines insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry practices
- Good analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting systems
- Understanding of local insurance regulations and compliance requirements
- Tenacious, motivated, and proactive
- Must be primarily in the office
