Job Summary
Financial Intern role supporting RBC Financial Advisor activities in banking, investments, and credit. You will help attract, nurture, and grow client relationships by delivering proactive, client-centric advice and collaborating with RBC partners to address clients’ personal and business financial goals. Responsibilities include effective client communication to uncover needs, delivering solutions across banking, investments, and credit, educating clients to self-serve digitally while maintaining a high touch approach both virtually and face-to-face, and contributing to new client acquisition and retention within the local community. The role emphasizes leveraging technology for digital enablement, collaborating with market professionals to provide tailored advice, and building trust through effective relationship management. Requirements include mutual funds accreditation, a DFSA designation (or equivalent), and 2-3 years of sales experience in financial services; proficiency with digital tools; and a willingness to engage in local community networks. Nice-to-have: additional language skills.
Required Qualifications
- Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada)
- Canadian Securities Course (or DFSA designation)
- Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in financial services (credit and investments)
- Digital literacy across devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops)
