Job Summary
Senior Financial Fraud Investigator - Vice-President within Morgan Stanley's Corporate Security. Lead time-sensitive investigations into fraud impacting clients and the firm, including cryptocurrency-related schemes and cross-functional coordination with Compliance, AML/BSA, Legal, and law enforcement. Role involves identifying fraud patterns, guiding rapid action (e.g., account restrictions, card reissues, freezes), delivering fraud-awareness training, and coordinating referrals for further investigation. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of investigative experience, with preferred certifications (CFE, CFCI, CAMS) and strong knowledge of crypto, ACH, checks, and wire payments, plus ability to present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 15 years of law-enforcement investigative experience
- Certification (CFE, CFCI, CAMS) or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency, ACH, check, and wire-payment products; fraud-prevention techniques and methodologies; regulatory requirements; and cybercrime trends
- Ability to communicate cryptocurrency-related investigative findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders
- Proficiency with data-analysis tools and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with problem-solving and decision-making skills
