Job Summary
Senior-level Financial Examiner responsible for advanced financial examination and analytical work related to rural hospital grant programs. Develops dashboards, analytical tools, and data collection methods to monitor grant life cycles, budgets, reporting compliance, and outcomes. Designs and maintains financial data collection processes, analyzes grants’ financial data, and ensures data quality and proper interpretation of performance measures. Works with Grants Manager to develop methodologies for distributing grant funding, liaises with contractors, and supports financial forecasting and monitoring plans. Produces internal and external reports and presentations on budgeting, cost accounting, and project allocations; proficient in Excel, data visualization tools (Tableau, SAS, Power BI), and reporting software (Word, Access, PowerPoint, CAPPS Financials). Requires the ability to work independently or in a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Telework may be eligible; in-office presence at North Austin Complex two days per week as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, health care administration, management information systems, data science, business administration, accounting, or finance or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in financial examination and preparing financial/budget reports.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience using MS Excel at an intermediate proficiency level.
