Job Summary
Oversee the implementation of RMM's fiscal equity program by introducing The New York Episcopal Federal Credit Union to members across four Worker Education Centers and introducing educational programs to support enrollment and credit-building strategies. Develop and implement a financial literacy curriculum that empowers grassroots rural people to avoid exploitation and strengthen existing cooperatives while collaborating with staff to run new cooperative initiatives. Travel monthly across New York State to all four centers and to New York City to facilitate these partnerships and community outreach efforts. This full-time hybrid role includes evening and weekend availability, with a salary of $70,000 and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vacation, and retirement contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Committed to social justice and transformation
- Experience in working with grassroots people
- Experience in working with community development finance institutions
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Well-organized and committed to systems and details
- Comfortable with computers and database systems
- Experience in public speaking and storytelling
- The commitment to be in relationship with grassroots people
- A willingness to travel across New York State
- Availability to meet with people in the evenings and on weekends
- Strong written skills
- Proven, successful leadership in program management with measurable outcomes
