Job Summary
Financial Data Analyst role supporting Moody’s Ratings teams through financial analysis and discrete projects for Corporate Finance and Infrastructure Lines of Business. Responsibilities include applying accounting and finance knowledge to financial statement analyses, adjusting reported data per methodology requirements, analyzing ratios, explaining data and adjustments to rating teams, liaising with Analysts and Knowledge Managers on application of accounting concepts, reviewing and publishing data to external market participants, and contributing to technology projects, accounting changes, documentation updates, and process improvements. The team operates across multiple global locations (Vilnius, London, Bangalore, New York, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Tokyo) with a LI-Hybrid setup. The role offers opportunities to develop skills for a future career in the financial sector and involves collaboration with diverse teams across regions.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree is required in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience is an advantage (including internship)
- Good English (written and spoken)
- Russian or Italian language required (reading skills essential; writing/speaking optional)
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Power BI data visualization is desirable
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and responsible AI practices
