Job Summary

Define and manage overall project plans for medium to large scale initiatives, ensuring work is assigned and completed on time. Access and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver mitigation plans and execute the full project cycle. Draft project-ready deliverables with minimal review, maintain ownership of timelines, and translate strategy into actionable delivery work. Lead the fraud workstream within complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams including analysts, investigators, and IT specialists to execute tasks effectively. Identify and assess fraud risks through robust control measures, monitor progress against key performance indicators, and conduct regular gap analyses. Serve as the primary point of contact for fraud-related inquiries and escalations while driving continuous improvement in prevention strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • Three (3) years of project management experience
  • Must be able to work onsite in the office three or more days a week
  • Must be able to work regular full days in the office
  • Must be able to work in Hoover, Alabama
  • Must be able to work onsite, now or in the near future

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Three (3) years of banking or financial services experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Lead and oversee the fraud workstream within complex projects
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets specific to fraud detection, prevention, and recovery initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including analysts, investigators, IT specialists, and stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate fraud risks through the implementation of robust control measures and monitoring mechanisms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and success criteria related to fraud prevention, detection, and recovery efforts
  • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and project stakeholders
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in fraud detection processes and systems
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to fraud prevention and detection
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all fraud-related inquiries, escalations, and issues within the project
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of fraud prevention strategies and tools
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members to ensure successful project delivery and achievement of objectives
