Job Summary
Lead a team within Economic Crime Risk Management to deliver data-led oversight of financial crime risks, driving the adoption and practical application of data and AI to improve risk identification, monitoring, and decision-making. Own executive risk reporting, briefings, and the MLRO-related outputs, ensuring clear, decision-ready views of risk for senior management and the Board. Build cross-functional relationships to provide independent insight, credible challenge, and clear risk judgement, while coaching a high-performing team and expanding capability in data-led oversight. Spearhead the annual bank MLRO Report, oversee regulatory engagement, and evolve the Enterprise-Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment methodology to shape strategic priorities and control enhancements. Deliver high-quality updates, risk opinions, and governance materials to stakeholders, and drive improvements in risk management information and analytics for timely, scalable insight. Collaborate with senior leaders across the three lines of defence to influence risk outcomes and strengthen risk insight through data and AI-enabled approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Strong data and analytics capability with ability to apply data and AI approaches to enhance risk insight and oversight
- Experience delivering executive-level reporting, including board papers and regulatory submissions
- Deep understanding of financial crime risks, regulatory expectations, and control frameworks
- Experience overseeing risk management in the first line
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives for senior audiences
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, and credibility with senior leadership
- Leadership skills to empower teams to challenge how we do things
