Job Summary
Manage patient financial liability by processing POS payments and estimating costs for services rendered at UAB Highlands. Communicate directly with patients to collect outstanding portions before discharge, ensuring all processes and follow-through with involved parties are completed daily or weekly. This role requires multitasking to maintain accurate records and timely collections for patients receiving or who have received services at the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years prior relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Medical terminology, data entry, prior admitting, eligibility, business office, or physician office experience
