Job Summary
Verify benefits and eligibility on admission inquiries, prepare admission folders, and collect co-pays and deductibles from patients. Assist with establishing payment plans, coordinate with utilization review and discharge planning to limit non-payment risk, and provide ongoing patient benefit information. Participate in patient discharge procedures and coordinate financial arrangements with collection personnel. This full-time role includes occasional overtime and flexible hours. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience in admission processes and collections procedures
- Working knowledge of managed care
- Interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans
- Working knowledge of computers and business software programs (Excel)
