Job Summary
The Part-Time Financial Counselor will oversee the Rockaway Village Financial Counseling Program, hosting monthly workshops on budgeting, credit scores, and debt reduction strategies while conducting outreach and one-on-one sessions for residents struggling with finances. Responsibilities include planning workshops, collaborating with financial institutions, using Salesforce for tracking, and fostering relationships with residents. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with 1-3 years of financial counseling experience. Essential skills include finance expertise, public speaking, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, economics, or a business-related field
- 1-3 years of financial counseling experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish-speaking)
- Experience with financial counseling working with low-income communities, immigrants, etc.
