Job Summary
Provides financial case management for patients and their families. Evaluates and coordinates options for managing personal finances to ensure patients can pay for medical services. Interviews patients or responsible party to obtain insurance information, arrange payment methods, prescreen for ability to pay, and provides counseling on available financial resources and public assistance procedures. Assists or refers patients to resources for applications for public assistance or uncompensated care. Performs tasks including account follow up, phone queue management, insurance and billing requirements, registration, inquiries, and interaction with patients, representatives, county assistance offices, insurers, attorneys, and others to resolve accounts per current government and payer regulations. Represents the company with professional service and adherence to policies. May offer the option to work from home.
