Job Summary
Educate patients on their financial obligations, including co-insurance, deductibles, and care-level fees; review verification of benefits and patient responsibilities; track and manage recurring payments with invoices/receipts; follow up on declined transactions and help resolve payment issues; prepare and process financial paperwork for admissions and ongoing care programs; scan and maintain financial records in KIPU/EHR systems and provide documentation to third-party vendors; collaborate with admissions, billing, and clinical teams to ensure accurate financial planning, documentation, and compliant practices; maintain internal metrics in Salesforce/KIPU and uphold confidentiality while assisting patients with payment plans and adjustments; requires high school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred) and 1-2 years in healthcare finance/billing; proficient with MS Office and financial systems.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare finance, billing, or a similar patient-facing financial role
- Proficiency with financial systems/software such as KIPU, Salesforce or similar
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and medical billing practices is highly desirable
