Job Summary
Verify insurance eligibility and fertility benefits, then submit and track prior authorizations for treatments and surgeries while resolving delays. Prepare personalized financial estimates, explain coverage and out-of-pocket costs, and collect payments before procedures. Review fee-for-service agreements, manage patient accounts for outstanding balances, and assist with financing programs like Future Family and PatientFi. Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, and portal, and maintain accurate records in the EMR while complying with HIPAA regulations. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service role
- Strong organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach, with an ability to handle sensitive conversations about financial matters
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration
- Familiarity with medical terminology
